Late blogging!

So i've been really bad at blogging recently...been very busy with university work and general life the past week. Here are some photos of what iv been up to and some of the great things iv seen :). The top picture is a neck/collar piece i am working on for my project, i tried out some traditional weaving techniques to get a feel for some of the traditional ways they produce textiles in Africa and was thinking of maybe creating a fabric piece completely by hand ( no technology at all ahhhh ), so i decided to try and weave strips of diamonds so the piece becomes more versatile to structure...i think it worked too :)! The second picture is taken in the new forest, me and my housemates took a trip down there early sunday morning to see the horses and have a nice stroll (and a cheeky pub lunch of course), we got right up next to the horses and everything! The final picture is a Matthew Williamson dress, i had the pleasure of meeting the embroidery designer for his company last friday when she came in to uni to give a talk. Her talk was not only interesting and knowledgeable but also inspiring, i didnt realise there were so many ways to embroider!!! Post on this and more of my work from this week to follow.
