Re writing posts!
God iv tried to publish this post about a million times, everything keeps crashing :(. Im hoping it will work this time because iv re written this way to many times! Anyway iv been super rubbish at blogging recently and of course i will use the same excuse as always....iv been working on my final major project...there it is again! Im actually looking forward to finishing uni (not just to get away from living in rubbish and having no money) so i have more time to spend on twitter, blogging and pinterest...i just dont get to do it as much as i like. So my final major project is going well, had a manic couple of weeks trying to get everything printed in the studio before they close it for Easter, thought i was being really clever so i could stitch into my printed fabrics over the break, but it turns out i dont think some of my fabrics are big enough, so it would just be a waste of time sewing in to all of them, oh well plenty more to be doing as always! Had a critique on Friday which went extremely well, my collection has really come together over the past few weeks and is now looking really fresh and contemporary :) here is my collection so far, enjoy!

Final designs on fabric
Here are some of my final designs printed onto fabric, when i have to make my final samples i will be repeating these designs on a larger scale and suggesting ways of how they may be seen on the body.
Late late late
As i have mentioned before, university work forces me to wave goodbye to any real or virtual life i used to have...so sorry for the late post, need to get back on the blogging for myself and for uni related things too. Anyway im going to post some images of my progression in my work and what i have achieved over the past couple of weeks. Found out i passed my dissertation which is a massive relief as writing is seriously not my fortay, however still so much to do. Pretty sure i know where im going with my extended major project now, its just difficult getting all those little things and details just right! Here are some pics! :)

Embroidery designer for Matthew Williamson
So as i mentioned i had the privelage of meeting Emma the embroidery designer for Matthew Williamson last friday, she was a great speaker and some of her embroidery designs and techniques used were much inspiring to me. She proved that embroidery doesnt need to be seen as this old fashioned aspect of fashion anymore...but this exciting, expensive and luxurious way of adorning a garment. Some of the samples and dresses from final collections were shown to us, to touch and to hold these beautiful garments was very exciting and inspired me maybe use some simple embroidery in my works. The talk also inspired me to try and relate my work back to my original starting points as much as possible, for instance; researching techniques and processes used in Africa to produce clothing and cloths, i really want to learn about how they do certain techniques without the use of technology - something we clearly take for granted. Here are some photos i took of the samples and garments at the talk.
