Extended Major Project

For my extended major project i have chosen the theme 'wild'. I love animals and looking into textiles from different cultures, especially India and Africa. This brief gives me the opportunity to extend and further develop what i looked at for my specialist professional project, however this time i will be concentrating on a selection of wild animals and African patterns looking to make traditional designs more contemporary and exciting by experimenting with scale and colour. This picture pretty much sums up my project so far , im still in the designing process and haven't began applying my designs to fabric yet, i plan to mostly use digital and screen printing techniques. My overall aim is to create a selection of fashion fabrics that are bigger, bolder and more striking to anything i have ever done before....which basically means iv given myself a hell of a lot to do.....so heres to hoping it pays off!!!!
